We’re super proud to have contributed more the $4.5 million to our local East Malvern and broader community since our inception in 1998. From sporting groups, to the arts, education, charities and other community initiatives, we strongly believe in helping East Malvern thrive, and supporting the local community that supports us.
Across Australian towns, regional cities and metropolitan suburbs to date across the Bendigo Bank network, $165 million has been reinvested back into local communities. This figure is growing every day across the country. Take a look at some of our local partnerships and find out more about how your Community Bank® is working to make East Malvern an even better place to live, work, play and of course, bank.
Collegians Football Club
Narrowly missing out on a premiership in the VAFA’s Premier A grade in 2018 after a stellar year, Collegians are a proactive partner of the branch and have been for over a decade. The oldest club in Amateur Football with 20 premierships, the Lions are a proud club and we look forward to announcing a new initiative for our partnership in 2019.
De La Salle Old Collegians Amateur Football Club
We’ve been a proud major partner of De La Salle, located just down the bottom of Waverley Rd here in East Malvern just minutes from our branch, for eleven years. A fixture in Premier A in the VAFA for many years, the club opens it arms to all players and supporters within the East Malvern community and beyond. Eight teams and over 200 players don the Blue and Gold each year, including three Under 19 teams, which we are proud to be the presenting partner for. We look forward to fostering the emerging talent at De La in 2019.
Lloyd Street Primary School
Located in the heart of East Malvern, Lloyd St Primary School welcomes families from all over our suburb. We’re proud to present their Community Fair, a joyous community celebration for families held in October each year.
Melbourne Racing Club
Every year we partner with the MRC at the iconic Caulfield racecourse just a five minute drive from our branch, to present the East Malvern Bendigo Bank MRC Foundation Cup event, which raises over $190,000 each year for various charities. This year’s race was claimed by Night’s Watch, in front of 7000 fans, to earn a place in the historic Caulfield Cup.
